Now Available: Free COVID-19 Risk Screenings for Children in Florida.

As COVID-19 cases increase in Florida, we know parents are trying to look after the well-being of their children in an environment that is quickly changing. Blueberry’s mission since day 1 has been to give parents more resources and more access to help children stay healthy and safe.

Which is why we are releasing a new, complimentary feature to give parents in Florida additional access to a free coronavirus screening service for children in Florida.

The COVID-19 Risk Screening connects families with a board-certified pediatrician through patients’ smartphones and computers, where a team of doctors are readily available to help families determine whether children are eligible for testing services. If eligible, families are then directed to the appropriate testing facility.

How it works

You will be connected to a board-certified Pediatrician over the phone, who can help determine if testing is necessary – if it is, they will help you find a testing site based on recommendations from the Florida Department of Health. If your children aren’t eligible for testing, they will provide you with recommendations on how to keep your family healthy.

We’re currently screening all patients under 21 years of age, seven days a week from 9:00 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST within the state of Florida. Blueberry is waiving the costs of all COVID-19 screenings for this age group, and families can speak with readily available pediatricians completely free of charge. (Unfortunately, Blueberry is not able to perform screenings for adults over 21 or patients outside of Florida at this time).

To begin a screening, parents can visit our COVID-19 page and click ‘Get Started’. They will be prompted to create an account, enter medical information about the patient, and begin a visit. If your child does not have symptoms and was not in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, we do not recommend scheduling a screening at this time.
